
3rd Annual Nationwide Art Competition in Myanmar on the theme of: The Impact of Antipersonnel Landmines on My Community
The 3rd annual, all medium, art competition was launched on International Day of Mine Action, 4 April 2025, and closed on International Peace Day, 21 September 2025.
Awards were announced 7th October 2025 with a 1st Prize in the Adult Category of 1.4 million kyat.


Art works were solicited in any medium and could be submitted in any language in Myanmar.
Submissions in 2025 were primarily graphic images, some with text. Other submissions included poetry, animations, videos and music.
70 artists submitted works from across Myanmar, including from Kachin, Karen, Karenni, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States and Ayerwaddy, Magway, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Tanintharyi and Yangon regions. 13 women and 39 men submitted artwork in the adult category, while 12 girls and 6 boys submitted artwork in the youth category. Artworks were in Burmese, Karen and English languages.
The contest was supported by the Investing in Action programme of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Mine Free Myanmar is a voluntary activity to make transparent the suffering caused by antipersonnel landmines in Myanmar/Burma. Mime Free Myanmar advocates for an unconditional and comprehensive ban on the use of antipersonnel landmines.
